As a one-on-one home-based groomer, I focus on providing a calm, low-stress grooming experience while building long-term relationships with both dogs and their owners. Because I work independently and dedicate extra time to each dog, my availability is limited and my schedule is typically booked 6 to 8 weeks in advance.

What I'm Looking For in New Clients

I am currently accepting a limited number of new dogs weighing up to 36 lbs.

To ensure the best experience for everyone, I am looking for clients who:

Regular grooming helps dogs stay comfortable, healthy, and accustomed to the grooming process. Dogs who visit consistently generally have a more positive experience than those who are groomed only occasionally.

One of the greatest benefits of routine grooming is the relationship that develops over time. Dogs thrive on familiarity, and many become more relaxed and confident when they consistently see the same groomer who understands their personality, preferences, and individual needs. Building that trust is an important part of the grooming experience and allows me to provide the personalized care that my clients value.

Behaviour Requirements

The safety and well-being of your dog and myself are my top priorities.

At this time, I am only accepting dogs with no history of aggression or significant behavioural challenges during grooming. This includes severe biting, attempts to bite, extreme handling sensitivity, or behaviour that would place the dog or groomer at risk.

Puppies and young dogs who are still learning are always expected to need guidance, training, and patience. However, dogs must be able to be groomed safely and respectfully without the need for excessive restraint.

Why I Am Selective About New Clients

Throughout my 18 years as a professional groomer, I have worked with dogs of every breed, temperament, and personality imaginable. My career began in a veterinary clinic, where I gained extensive experience working with anxious, fearful, sensitive, elderly, and behaviourally challenging dogs. Those experiences taught me how to read canine body language, recognize signs of stress, and approach each dog with patience, empathy, and respect.

As a Fear Free and Force Free groomer, helping nervous dogs feel safe has always been something I care deeply about. Many of my long-term clients came to me because they needed a gentler approach, and I am incredibly grateful for the trust their families have placed in me over the years.

As my business has grown and evolved, I have become increasingly focused on creating a grooming environment built around consistency, trust, and positive experiences. I have found that I am able to provide the highest quality care when working with dogs who are comfortable with routine grooming and can be handled safely without significant behavioural concerns.

While I have extensive experience working with challenging dogs, that type of grooming often requires a different environment, additional support, and considerably more physical and emotional energy than what aligns with my current business model. Rather than trying to be the right fit for every dog, I have chosen to focus on the type of grooming experience I feel most passionate about providing.
